Our History
Dutch Courses Amsterdam opened its doors on December 7th, 2009, with just one teacher and two students, Alex and Osmanis. Our very first investment? A good coffee machine—though it didn’t arrive in time, so coffee breaks meant a quick trip to the café around the corner. A humble (and memorable) beginning.
Alex and Osmanis kept returning for more courses, and soon others joined them. What started small, quickly grew into a vibrant learning community where people from all over the world come together to learn Dutch.
Fostering Curiosity in Learning
From the start, our focus has been on creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where learning Dutch feels both enjoyable and effective. We believe that making mistakes is an essential part of the process, and we encourage our students to take risks, stay curious, and build confidence step by step.
Almost 17 years later, we are proud to have helped over 10,000 students achieve their language goals. Our team of 15+ passionate professionals is dedicated to guiding each student on their own journey, whether they are just starting out or preparing for advanced exams.
Our courses combine clear grammar instruction with practical conversation, taught by experienced teachers using our own carefully developed materials. By keeping our groups small—just seven to eight students—we ensure personal attention, plenty of speaking practice, and a genuinely supportive learning experience.
